Retirement Wealth Requires A Plan
In the first two installments of this series I spoke about how important it was for you to have a VISION and an IDEA to achieve retirement wealth that you controlled from anywhere in the world, that was immune to the ups and downs of the economy and that an online information marketing business was your key to retirement wealth.
For you to achieve that requires a PLAN.
Now, before all of you groan about creating some monstrously detailed binder filled with pages and pages of minutiae, let me say “That ain’t IT”.
If you spend all of your time creating some monster plan, I guarantee you that you will NEVER achieve your VISION and never achieve retirement wealth.
What you need is a high level plan that briefly describes the general steps you need to focus your efforts on. Like, writing out you IDEAs, testing them in the market, selecting one based on feedback, planning out the product, asking your audience about that, creating a product and selling it to them as fast and as often as you can, then growing your marketing into a living, breathing entity that will sustain you through your retirement years.
The purpose of the PLAN as I describe it is not to cover every little detail but to be a guide to focus your day to day tasks. That is the key – to provide focus to your efforts.
And this doesn’t have to be some carefully orchestrated, highly organized document in some “planning” software or template. Use a simple text editor or a spreadsheet program similar to Excel.
For a long time, I just wrote my plan and steps out on a blank piece of printer paper. Even today, I often do that.
Keeping it simple and basic is critically important at this step because so many people get focused on the plan as a way to avoid the big monster – which is the topic of our next segment – taking ACTION. See you then.
